Terms & conditions

1.         AVAILABILITY
All products are offered for sale subject to availability.

2.         VINTAGES
The vintage of wines will follow on when stock of the previous vintage is exhausted, unless advised otherwise.

3.         PRICING
The prices within any wine list are subject to alteration without prior notice and products will be invoiced at the prices ruling at the date of dispatch.  Prices may be subject to changes in duty and foreign exchange rates.

4.         VALUE ADDED TAX
All prices are quoted including the value added tax, at the rate current on day of purchase.

5.         PAYMENT
Any delivery charges are additional and details are available on request. We accept payment by Switch, Visa, MasterCard and Amex, and can also accept Cheques by special arrangement. Where a particular wine is part of a pre-mix case with a general discount applied, the discounted price for the case is relative to the previously advertised, non-discounted prices for the constituent wines.

6.         CLAIMS
Risk in products shall pass to the purchaser upon delivery.  The vendor accepts no liability for loss or damage to products in transit, unless the purchaser:
a) At the time of delivery, examines the products delivered and
b) Retains for inspection all packing material and
c) Endorses any delivery document with the details of any obvious loss or damage and
d) Notifies the vendor and, when applicable, any independent carrier in writing of any loss or damage before the expiry of the third day after delivery.

7.         RETURN OF GOODS
No credit will be given for returns unless marked for return on a delivery document.  The vendor reserves the right not to allow credit if:
a) The goods are marked, disfigured or in any way not in a saleable condition.
b) The manufacturer of the goods disallows credit to the vendor.

8.         PRODUCT QUALITY
We pride ourselves on the quality of our wine, so if you have any problems whatsoever with the wine you receive, please let us know and we will be happy to assist you.  

9.         WARNINGS
Customers should also be aware of the following inherent risks and warnings:
Alcohol should be consumed in moderation.
A case of wine is heavy so extra care should be taken when lifting it. If you are concerned about the weight we advise that you transfer a few bottles at a time.
Red wine in particular may cause staining if spilt so extra care should be taken - have an extra bottle of white wine handy as a precautionary measure.
Sparkling wines and champagnes can be volatile due to the build up of gasses extra care should be taken when opening these.

10.        FORCE MAJEURE
The vendor shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance of its obligation to the purchaser, as a result of causes beyond the vendors reasonable control, including strikes, lockouts or trade disputes either with the U.K. or within any supplying country.

11.        VARIATIONS
We reserve the right to change the terms and conditions without notice for security, legal or  regulatory reasons. We will not use this right to deprive you of anything that you are entitled to or that has been agreed to by us.

12.        Privacy
We take your privacy very seriously and will not pass your details to any third party without your consent, other than where necessary to carry out our duties during the course of getting the wine to you.
